Today we did a job in Riverview, FL for a local business. They called us because the push bar wasn’t working right, and they also needed the mortise lock rekeyed.
We started by taking care of the lock. It’s a mortise-style lock, so we pulled the cylinder, rekeyed it to new keys, and tested it to make sure everything turned smooth. We cut a fresh set of keys for the owner and made sure it was secure before moving on.
Next, we worked on the push bar or emergency exit device as we call it. The hardware inside was a bit worn and wasn’t latching properly. We opened it up, made the adjustments, and tightened everything back into place. Once it was working like it should, we tested it a few times to make sure it opened and closed without any problems.

Everything is now working like as it should. The business has a new set of keys and a fully working push bar that keeps their place secure and up to code.
